My Dear Parishioners, This week we celebrate Trinity Sunday. Trinity Sunday is a Christian feast day that celebrates the belief that God exists as three persons in one: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. It is observed on the first Sunday after Pentecost. In this Gospel passage, Jesus reveals the heart of God’s love. God does not look at the world with anger or rejection, but with deep compassion. He loves humanity so much that He gives His only Son so that no one will be lost. This reminds us that salvation is a gift freely offered to everyone. Eternal life is not earned by perfection but received through faith in Jesus Christ. The words “God sent his Son into the world not to condemn the world, but so that through him the world might be saved” are especially comforting. Many people fear judgment and feel unworthy of God’s love. Yet Jesus comes not to destroy, but to heal, forgive, and bring hope. He invites us to trust in Him and to walk in the light of faith. A...

Spirituality of Saint John Henry Newman - Doctor of the Church During our Pause & Reflect gatherings in June we shall reflect on John Henry Newman, a very significant and influential man in the shaping of Catholic thought. Canonised a saint by Pope Francis on October 13, 2019 and declared a Doctor of the Church by Pope Leo XIV on Nov 1 2025. All are warmly welcome to these gatherings as we pause & reflect on the importance of this man renowned for his defence of faith. Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea

Our senior parishioners are warmly invited to join us for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea as we come together to support those impacted by cancer. When: Wednesday, 24 June 2026, 11.00am Where: Parish Centre, OLGC, 9 Currie Rd, Forestville Enjoy morning tea, fellowship, and a guest speaker presenting on mobility. Morning tea will be provided, followed by our usual cuppa and chat. Please bring your own lunch. Pope Leo's First Encyclical - Magnifica Humanitas

Magnifica Humanitas Formation Series With Pope Leo XIV releasing his first Encyclical, titled Magnifica Humanitas, Mission Broken Bay will be holding the following formation and reflection sessions in June. Breaking open two documents that the Church has already released on AI, Antiqua et Nova and Quo Vadis, Humanitas?, this formation session will explore what it means to be human, what it means to be in relationship with God, self, others and the environment, how AI mimics aspects of this and some of the technical limitations of AI in this regard.
