World Oceans Day is June 8th.

As part of the Northern Beaches community, our parish is vitally connected to the ocean. Broken Bay Diocese is vitally connected to the Hawkesbury River which flows into the Pacific Ocean which connects us to the island nations of the Pacific. Let us pray for our oceans: Creator God, all your works fill us with wonder. The oceans tell of your creativity and we are amazed by their beauty and the diversity of life which inhabit them. Instead of encouraging them to teem with life as you intended, we have filled them with our waste. Forgive us for our carelessness and ignorance. Help us be more aware of those in the Pacific Island nations affected by the rising sea levels so that we will live our lives in a way that cares for the oceans and those who depend on them."

Kierans Creek Landcare Work Date: Saturday June 13th 9am - 12 noon. Please join us in caring for this special place at St Anthony in the Fields as we revegetate Duffys Forest Endangered Ecological Community. We need lots of able bodied people to help move some branches from a dead tree. Tools and Wonderful Morning Tea provided.
