Dear Parishioners, This week the Gospel passage from the Transfiguration of Jesus invites us to reflect on the profound mystery of Jesus' divine nature revealed in the midst of prayer. As Jesus prayed, His appearance changed, and His clothing became brilliant, revealing His glory in a way that His disciples had never seen before. This passage invites us to consider the moments in our own lives where we experience a glimpse of the divine, whether in prayer, in community, or in the quiet of our hearts. Like the disciples, we may struggle to fully understand or grasp the significance, but we are called to listen to Jesus and allow His light to guide us. We are excited to have our annual St. Patrick's Trivia Night in the OLGC Hall this Saturday, March 15th. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who can join us in supporting this event. Special ...

Project Compassion Second Weekend of Lent

Image
Project Compassion: Bringing Hope to Samoa In Samoa, climate change is making access to clean water a daily struggle. At one primary school, water shortages forced classes to end early, leaving students without drinking water or proper hygiene. Thanks to Caritas Australia and Caritas Samoa, a 10,000-litre water tank was installed, ensuring over 300 students and teachers have a reliable water source. This Lent, through Project Compassion, we can make a difference for students like Toefuata'iga. You can support project Compassion through the donation boxes, by scanning the QR code or give online at projectcompassion.org.au . Catholic Care's Brookvale Disability Hub

Catholic Care have just launched Paws for a Cause – an inclusive dog walking service in collaboration with Mad Paws. Our participants, supported by their support workers are enthusiastic dog lovers eager to enhance their skills while providing your furry friends with the exercise and companionship they need. Each walk is a chance for our team to develop valuable skills, foster independence, and create meaningful connections within the community. Plus, all funds generated from the dog walking services go entirely to the participants, allowing them to spend their earnings as they choose and further promote their independence.
