Dear Parishioners, In this week’s Gospel we are invited to consider a simple but profound question: “Who do you say I am?” Peter’s answer, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God,” is a declaration of faith and trust in Jesus. Jesus then gives Peter a special mission, making him the rock upon which the Church will be built. Peter was not perfect, but Jesus saw his faith and entrusted him with responsibility. We too are invited to recognise who Jesus is in our lives, not simply as someone we know about, but as the Son of God who walks with us, strengthens us and calls us to share our faith with others. Like Peter, we may not always feel worthy or ready, but God can work through our weakness when we place our trust in him. We are also reminded that faith is not something we keep only for ourselves. Jesus calls Peter to become a foundation for the Church, and in our own way, each of us is called to be a source of faith, hope and encouragement to those around us. Through our kindnes...

Mass Cancellation Notice

Due to the Clergy Retreat in the Diocese of Broken Bay, there will be no Masses celebrated at St Martin’s, Davidson, and St Anthony’s, Terrey Hills, from Tuesday 25 August to Friday 28 August. Parishioners are welcome to attend Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLGC), Forestville, where Mass will be celebrated at 9:15 am on those days. Thank you for your understanding and prayers for the clergy during the retreat.

Combined OLGC and St.Martin’s Cuppa & Chat Groups Join us at the upcoming Cuppa & Chat Group meeting for a special visit from our local Fire Fighters! As the weather head into spring, it brings fresh beginning and new seasonal fire risks. From getting garden equipment ready, to safely checking smoke alarms and clearing dry growth around the home, our local firefighters will be dropping in to share quick, essential tips to keep you and your loved ones safe. When: Wednesday 26 August What: Cuppa and Chat from 12 Midday then Firefighters visit and talk at 1pm Where: Parish Centre at OLGC Bring: Yourselves, lunch and any fire safety questions! Enjoy a warm cuppa, friendly chat, and practical safety advice before spring arrives. We can’t wait to see you there!  All are welcome.

Festival of Creation in the Forest

You are invited to join us for the FESTIVAL OF CREATION IN THE FOREST We look forward to celebrating the beauty of creation with you as we gather for a special Festival of Creation event! Together, we will rejoice in God's gift of the Earth through the celebration of Mass, followed by engaging activities that deepen our understanding of how to care for our common home. Join us in prayer, learning, and community as we respond to Pope Francis' call to ecological conversion and stewardship of creation. As part of our time together, we will also share a meal in community. We invite you to bring a plate of food with an aim to minimise waste and plastics to share as we continue our celebration in fellowship.
