My Dear Parishioners, As we celebrate the Ascension this weekend the passage from the Gospel of Matthew is both a moment of farewell and a moment of mission. Jesus gathers the eleven disciples on the mountain in Galilee and gives them what is often called the “Great Commission.” Even after the Resurrection, the disciples are still human, some worship him immediately, while others hesitate. That small detail is comforting because it reminds us that faith is not always perfect or certain. Doubt can exist alongside belief, yet Jesus still entrusts his mission to them. One of the most powerful parts of this reading is Jesus’ promise: “I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.” The disciples are being sent into an uncertain world, yet they are not abandoned. This promise continues for believers today. In moments of fear, loneliness, or uncertainty, Christians are reminded that Christ remains present and faithful. The Mass of Thanksgiving

Invitation to the Diocesan - Award Gala Dinner

As we celebrate our 40th Anniversary of the Diocese this year, Archbishop Anthony Randazzo, Apostolic Administrator of Broken Bay, has awarded Ms Frances van Schie, Ms Carmel Smith and Mr Bruno Luigi Spedalieri the Diocesan Medal. Archbishop Randazzo has written to Ms Frances van Schie, Ms Carmel Smith and Mr Bruno Luigi Spedalieri. Archbishop Randazzo will present them the Diocesan Medal at the Diocesan Awards Gala Dinner to be held on Friday 29 May 2026 at 6.30 pm in the Grand Salon of the Epping Club, 45 - 47 Rawson Street, Epping. Tickets for this event are $150.00 per person or $1500.00 for a table of ten. This includes pre-dinner drinks, three course dinner, raffles with some amazing prizes, and the opportunity to celebrate with the recipients of our Papal and Diocesan Awards.
