My Dear Parishioners, This Sunday we celebrate The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, traditionally known as Corpus Christi. This feast calls us to a deeper appreciation of the Real Presence. Corpus Christi challenges us to see beyond what our eyes perceive and to embrace with faith the mystery of Christ's enduring presence among us. It reminds us that the same Jesus who walked the earth, healed the sick, and taught the crowds, continues to offer himself to us as spiritual nourishment, strengthening us for our journey of faith. Beyond the theological depth, Corpus Christi also emphasizes the communal aspect of our faith. We receive this sacred meal together, as one Body of Christ, called to be a living extension of His love and service in the world. Ultimately, Corpus Christi is a feast of immense love—God's infinite love for humanity, expressed in the ultimate sacrifice and in His desire to remain intimately with us. Refection

Each time I pray in front of our new tabernacle I have been struck by the power of these elements as the definitive symbol of Jesus' presence in our world. Not only in grand cathedrals or libraries of words does God visit us. Not only in prophets' speeches or laws set in stone. But in simple gifts of broken bread and poured wine. And at these times I recall that the action of being broken and poured out is the core of what we believe: our God poured himself out in love for us in Christ; Jesus was broken unto death for us so that we might be made whole; the Spirit gives us strength and courage to face the daily breakings and pourings that make up our lives and every time anyone, anywhere shares bread or passes a cup with those in need, our God is really present. Praying there also reminds me that following the Trinity's example, this pattern is repeated in all faithful Christian lives too. Peter’s Pence Collection

Will be held next Sunday on Sunday 29th of June we join with other parishes across the world in taking up the Vatican’s annual Peter’s Pence Collection. The Peter’s Pence Collection provides for the charitable works of mercy identified by His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV, including emergency assistance to those in need due to natural disaster, war, oppression and disease. Your generosity allows the Holy Father to respond to those suffering with love and compassion. You can make a gift using the Peter’s Pence collection envelope available in the pews.

Safeguarding - Integrity in Our Common Mission

An ACSL Webinar -  Integrity in Our Common Mission is the National Code of Conduct for all those involved in pastoral ministry within the dioceses of the Catholic Church in Australia. This includes bishops, priests, deacons, seminarians, religious, and lay men and women serving in the name of a diocese, parish, or church agency. This interactive 90-minute webinar will provide: An overview of the Integrity in Our Common Mission document, A chance to ask questions and participate in open discussion. The session will be present by our Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia, Fr David Ranson. This session is an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of our shared responsibilities in pastoral ministry.
