from Fr Satheesh
My Dear Parishioners,
This Sunday we celebrate The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, traditionally known as Corpus Christi. This feast calls us to a deeper appreciation of the Real Presence. Corpus Christi challenges us to see beyond what our eyes perceive and to embrace with faith the mystery of Christ's enduring presence among us. It reminds us that the same Jesus who walked the earth, healed the sick, and taught the crowds, continues to offer himself to us as spiritual nourishment, strengthening us for our journey of faith.
Beyond the theological depth, Corpus Christi also emphasizes the communal aspect of our faith. We receive this sacred meal together, as one Body of Christ, called to be a living extension of His love and service in the world.
Ultimately, Corpus Christi is a feast of immense love—God's infinite love for humanity, expressed in the ultimate sacrifice and in His desire to remain intimately with us. It is an invitation to draw closer to Him, to be nourished by His divine life, and to be transformed into more faithful disciples, living out the Eucharistic call to be bread broken for others.
With this feast in mind, it is especially fitting that the children of our Parish have made their Sacrament of First Holy Eucharist this weekend. We are incredibly proud of these children and their families for the dedication and effort they have poured into the sacramental program over the past nine months. We pray for each of the children and their families, that they may be deeply touched by the spirit of our community and truly feel a part of our community, strengthened by the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.
Next weekend we celebrate the Solemnity of St. Peter and St. Paul, apostles. We will have Peter’s Pence Appeal in the coming weekend. This appeal is to support the activities of the Holy See and its initiatives to express solidarity with those most in need.
Let us continue to cherish the friendly and supportive atmosphere of our community. I encourage you to take a moment to browse the bulletin for important updates and information. Wishing you a lovely week ahead, and if you are new or visiting our parish, please don’t hesitate to come and say hello.
May God bless you all.
