from Fr Satheesh
Dear Parishioners,
In this weekend’s Gospel In today’s Gospel, the apostles ask Jesus, “Increase our faith!” Like them, we sometimes feel our faith is small, especially when life tests us. Yet Jesus reassures us that even faith the size of a mustard seed can do great things when we place our trust in God. What matters most is not the measure of our faith, but the One in whom we believe.
Jesus also speaks about the attitude of a servant, reminding us that following Him is not about recognition or reward but about humble service. As disciples, we are called to love, to serve, and to live faithfully, not because it brings us praise, but because everything we have comes from God. Our service is simply our grateful response to His love.
This Gospel invites us to trust that God can work wonders through even the smallest seed of faith, and to live each day with humility and devotion, knowing that all we do is for His glory.
As we begin the month of October, I warmly invite you to join us in praying the Rosary. From October 1–10, we will gather each evening at 7pm at OLGC church to pray together. On Saturday and Sunday, the Rosary will follow directly after the evening Mass. If you are unable to join us in person, I encourage you to pray the Rosary at home, it can be a powerful and meaningful way to deepen your faith. The month of October is dedicated to our blessed Mother.
We are also grateful to be back from our recent pilgrimage and thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes. It was a truly grace-filled journey, with many opportunities for Mass, prayer, and experiencing the wider Church in this Jubilee year. A particular highlight for me was the Candlelight Procession in Lourdes, a moving and prayerful reminder of the beauty of our shared faith. Also, entering the Holy doors of St. Peter’s and other basilicas with thousands of pilgrims from different parts of the world.
My gratitude to Susanne Bragge, Fr. Biju and Fr. Bobby for looking after the parish office and the pastoral needs of the parish while I was away.
Fr. Boby and I are grateful for your generous support with the OSH Appeal and we have raised $ 4105.00.
Wishing you a joyful and peaceful week ahead. If you're new to our parish or just visiting, please don’t hesitate to come up and say hello — we'd love to welcome you!
May God bless you all.
