OLGC Off-Road Parking Proposal Update.
We gratefully acknowledge all the comments and messages received regarding this important initiative to address the on-going parking problems for parishioners, staff and visitors accessing OLGC Church and the Parish Office. While there have been a number of objections received to the proposal, there have also been many more messages of support. Nonetheless, all have been given due consideration.
In addition, the proposal has been carefully considered by the Parish Property Committee and, after selecting the cheapest of 3 quotes received, the expenditure has been approved by the Parish Finance Committee.
Accordingly, the work will proceed once a few outstanding technical matters are finalised. We anticipate that construction should commence in late August or early September. Construction is expected to take one or two months to complete depending on the weather. Further updates on commencement and completion timing will follow.
In the meantime, we are most grateful for the many contributions already received towards the cost of this work. All contributions, no matter the amount, will be individually acknowledged.
